for Breakthru
How much does Breakthru cost?
The total cost for Breakthru is $175 per person. A $25 non refundable deposit per person is due within 14 days of your registration. Registration must be received by September 7. The deposit is transferrable to other students if there are drops or adds to your number between registration and your final payment. The final payment is due September 21.
Who may attend Breakthru?
Breakthru is open to students grade 6-12 who attend with a church. We currently do not allow individual registrations.
Where will we be staying?
Groups will stay in dormitory style rooms with single or bunk beds. Based on your numbers students will be housed 2 or 3 to a room. Some rooms might have a bathroom in them while others will have community bathrooms. Groups will share the dormitory with other churches. Linens are included.
What is the adult to student ratio?
1 adult leader for every 7 students of the same gender.
Are background checks required?
Yes, Each church group will need to conduct a national (multi-site) criminal background check and sex offender registry check on any participant (adults or students) that is 18 years and older. Church groups will then provide For You Ministries with written confirmation that every participant 18 and older has been approved to work with youth and children, and will provide written confirmation that all participants (youth and adults) are deemed safe. For You Ministries also does a background check on all it's volunteers and staff.
What is included in the price?
Your cost covers lodging for two nights, 4 meals (Breakfast, lunch, dinner, on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday) price of speaker, band, sound and lights, access to camp facilities, seminar leaders, and staff.
What is a session?
Sessions are our time when everyone is together in worship. These can include some or all of these elements: A talk from the speaker, music, scripture, games, and skits.
Is For You Ministries affiliated with a certain denomination?
We are not affiliated with any denomination. We focus on God's grace and His love for us and our neighbor. You can read our statement of faith on the "About Us" page.
What do you believe about Communion?
During our final session we will hold communion. We practice an open table policy. We believe it is God's table, not ours, and He does not discriminate against anyone. We believe He invites all those who seek to know Him to the table. Your students will have the option to participate or not.
Will there be a medical professional on sight?
There will be staff who are CPR and first aid trained. However, there will not be a paid medical person on sight. The nearest urgent care facility is 2.7 miles from camp.
Who will lead worship?
Worship is being lead by Forsaken Hero. They are a Dove Award nominated band out of Virginia. You can learn more by visiting their website. (Forsakenhero.com)
Will my church have time together?
Yes, each night after the session there is time for your group to meet. You can use this time how you want. Your group will be assigned a meeting location.
What is available during free time?
During free time we encourage students to be outside of their rooms. We will have organized activities like 3v3 basketball tournament, volleyball tournament, and inflatable games. Other activities include disc golf, hiking, gag pit, tennis, and relaxing around camp. We will provide more indoor activities in the event of rain.
